Warren Beatty Stars In The Governator II
Seventies sex symbol Warren Beatty makes
a dramatic comeback in this sequel about a
has-been actor who thinks he might know a
thing or two about politics.
Hot on the heels of the surprise 2003 hit The
Governator — the gripping thriller turned comedy
turned tragedy which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger –
this second part portrays the governator’s left-wing
mega alter ego in a daring high-wire act in which he
speaks on behalf of the California’s poor and
underprivileged without ever having to meet them.
In his most challenging role to date, Beatty
takes on the task of keeping himself and a coterie
of liberal elitist pals moving from cocktail party
to cocktail party while at the same time convincing
the state’s lower castes that he feels their pain.
Joined by an outstanding team of supporting actors that includes
Sean Penn, Barbra Streisand and Arriana Huffington,
Beatty was simply made for this role.
Opens sometime in late 2006.
