Daybreakers, which comes out on January 8, has premiered a new trailer.

Below is the official description:

This January, Lionsgate takes vampires in a new direction with the futuristic sci-fi thriller, DAYBREAKERS. The year is 2019. Humans are now an endangered, second-class species – forced into hiding as they are hunted and farmed for vampire consumption to the brink of extinction.

But time and hope are running out – until Ed meets Audrey, a human survivor who leads him to a startling medical breakthrough. Armed with knowledge that both humans and vampires will kill for, Ed must battle his own kind in a deadly struggle that will decide the fate of the human race.

Stylish, provocative and action-packed, DAYBREAKERS stars two-time Academy Award® nominee Ethan Hawke (Supporting Actor, TRAINING DAY, 2001; Adapted Screenplay, BEFORE SUNSET, 2004), Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill. Make-up Effects were created by WETA Workshop. DAYBREAKERS is written and directed by the Spierig Brothers.

Kick-Ass with Nicolas Cage Releases New Teaser Posters

Written on November 11th, 2009 by adminno shouts

Kick-Ass, which is to be released by Lion’s Gate on April 16, has a set of new teaser posters that can be viewed here: http://media.movies.ign.com/media/142/14276014/imgs_1.html

The official synopsis of the film is as follows:

A twisted, funny, high-octane adventure, director Matthew Vaughn brings KICK-ASS to the big screen.

KICK-ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.

His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
