Today in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: The Break-Up
We were left speechless this morning when we first heard the news regarding the
break-up of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Two years of 24/7 Brangelina coverage
all falling apart before we had even had our morning coffee.
But, if the truth is to be told, we were not totally surprised. There was always something about Brad which made us think this thing was never destined to last a long time.
Rumors of Mr. Pitt's penchant for other women -- particularly other older women --
have plagued the entity we know as Brangelina ever since it came into being. First there was
talk of Brad and Barbra Streisand, then Brad and Jane Fonda, and now the clincher -- Brad Pitt and Dame Judi Dench.
Naturally, our hearts go out to Angelina during this most trying time,
as she tries to acclimate her latest adopted child to the American way of life.
Certainly, today's headlines in the British tabloid press -- "Pitt Entrenched in Dench's Clench", "Jolie In Pitt Fit", and "Dame Judi Mad for Lad Brad's Pad" -- won't help matters any.
It has been a great joy covering Brangelina all this time. We thought it might never end. Sadly, it has. Thanks a lot, Brad.
