Even Madonna, the woman who captivated London and the world
through her
performance at this month's Live 8 concerts, cannot escape
the Chortler
Translation Seat. The queen of pop granted an interview for the
August issue of Vogue magazine and our team of so-called reporters
with far too much time on their hands translated what she said.
Madonna: I was a very selfish person.
Translation: Don't, under any circumstances, try and get
me to use the present tense of the verb 'to be'.
Madonna: You go through periods of your life where the world
does revolve around you,
but you can't live your whole life that way.
Translation: And you know who I mean when I say "you" -- you smartass online satire
writers.
Madonna: On the other hand, I kind of admire my spunk
and directness!
Translation: Hey, I'm pushing 50. What the hell did I do with my spunk and directness pills?
