TRANSLATION Hillary Clinton Likens Bush To Alfred E. Neuman
New York Senator Hillary Clinton sharply criticized
President Bush and his policies during a speech this
weekend in Aspen, Colorado. Our team of so-called
reporters with far too much time on their hands translated what she said.
Hillary Clinton: I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman
is in charge in Washington.
Translation: This is quite a change from when I felt
Pepe LePew was running the show over at the White House.
(Or maybe I am being too hard on cartoon characters.)
Hillary Clinton: The US should stay in Iraq until peace can
be maintained by the Iraqi people.
Translation: I have drawn up the perfect exit strategy for when my
daughter Chelsea becomes president.
Hillary Clinton: (On the ailing economy) You can find
rich people anywhere in the world.
But you can't find the American middle class anywhere else in the world.
Translation: Look, there they are now hidden under that mountain of debt.
