TRANSLATION Tom Cruise On Aliens
No matter how hard we try there is no keeping Tom Cruise
out of the headlines. Today the War of the Worlds star
revealed his belief in life outside our planet to the German newspaper Bild.
Naturally our team of reporters with far too much time on their hands was there to translate what he said.
Tom Cruise: (To reporter) Are you really so arrogant as to believe we are alone in this universe?
Translation: A universe -- if you read nothing but tabloids for the past two months -- that would appear to revolve solely around me.
Tom Cruise: Millions of stars, and we're supposed to be the only living creatures?
Translation: I must leave you now as I am due back on the Planet Zork next Tuesday.
Tom Cruise: There are many things out there, we just don't know.
Translation: Perhaps there's even a place out there in space
where I wouldn't experience a credibility problem.
