CHORTLER CHAT ROOM The Tom Cruise Versus Matt Lauer Showdown
Last week it was a vicious confrontation with a water gun fired
from the hands a faux television cameraman in London. This Friday
cinematic heartthrob Tom Cruise waged an intense battle with Today
Show host Matt Lauer, one of the foremost journalists in the history
of the world, when the latter touched on the sensitive subject of
psychiatry. Here is what our panel had to say about the fierce televisual encounter.
I am constantly amazed every
time I see someone who has the nerve
to go on national TV and try to sell
the American people on wild claims
that later turn out to be completely bogus.
It just upsets me so much when I see the nice, friendly people in the press being treated with such disrespect. When will others learn to look up to those in the media?
That Tom Cruise dude has completely flipped out, man. What a total freak.
During his interview with Mr. Lauer, Mr. Cruise touched upon two
subjects I happen to feel very strongly about -- Scientology and psychiatry.
I don't know where I stand on either one, but I do feel very strongly about them.
