TRANSLATION
The Tom Cruise Water Episode
Tom Cruise found himself the victim of a childish prank pulled by a
so-called comedy team working for Britain's Channel 4 television station.
While providing an interview at the London premiere of his new film War
of the Worlds on Sunday night, the Hollywood star was unexpectedly squirted with water
from a camera. Needless to say, Mr. Cruise was not happy about what happened.
Not to be outdone by someone else's childishness, our so-called team of reporters with far too much time on their hands translated Cruise's words.
Tom Cruise: I'm here giving you an interview and you do that...it's incredibly rude.
Translation: Thanks for keeping me in the headlines another day. After jumping up and down on Oprah,
releasing a film and getting engaged, I was beginning to run out of ideas to keep me in the tabloids another day.
Tom Cruise: Why would you do that...why would you do that...why would you do that?
Translation: Seriously, I'm looking for a good
excuse to explain away my own recently erratic behavior.
