Alan Greenspan's Bedtime Stories: Jack and Jill
Jack and Jill ascended a well-defined elevation
of the land to fetch a pail of a binary compound
that occurs as a clear, colorless liquid.
Jack made an unexpected and instantaneous movement
downward thereby relinquishing various perquisites,
such as an ornamental jewelled headdress signifying sovereignty.
This fueled a pervasive bearish sentiment in the market
leading to a rapid downturn.
The impending uncertainty consequently
became a significant factor in Jill's
sudden descent as well.
A sanguine enthusiasm ensued and sparked
Jack's return to his pre-ascent stature.
With eldritch alacrity he ventured to
return to his domicile where -- in a move not
fully anticipated and yet to be absorbed by the marketplace --
he bound the upper region of his anatomy with a
sour-tasting liquid produced by oxidation of
the alcohol in wine and the brownish form of a
material made of cellulose pulp derived mainly
from wood or rags or certain grasses.
